About Me
Photography brings me peace. Whether it's following people on a busy street in Vancouver's bustling Chinatown, spending hours waiting for an eagle to fly out of its nest or contorting myself in an attempt to capture the majestic features of an architectural masterpiece, I continue to find the purest joy in photographing my surroundings.
Lines and geometric shapes often tend to guide my lens, as if to bring a semblance of order to the chaos that surrounds us... However, my more recent experimentation with long-exposure photography and ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) brings a certain softness to the world that I happily embrace.
My background as a print and web journalist has a strong influence on my work. The art of storytelling is endlessly fascinating and, to me, the infinite questions conjured by a great image are one of the many wondrous delights of photography.
Currently based in beautiful British Columbia, I am also the proud owner of Glasshouse Photos, a real estate and interiors media company servicing the Greater Vancouver Area.
